Neurology Technician, 7a-3p or 8a-4p

|Description:||Obtains standard and special procedure EEG recordings by prescribed methods. Operates equipment and assists physicians in performing Nerve Conduction Studies, Electromyographic testing, Carotid Artery Doppler/Duplex Scanning and Occuloplethsmographic procedures, Periorbital Doppler testing and Evoked Potential testing. Performs digital scan of EEG for physician interpretation. Maintains knowledge of neurophysiology and electrophysiology. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patientís age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. (Refer to department/unit Specific Scope of Service.)|
|Duties:||Operational familiarity with available Neurology Department equipment, including EEG, EMG, NCV, OPG, Doppler and Duplex scanning equipment. Communication skills required.|
|Qualifications:||Licensed Practical Nurse preferred, Registered EEG Technician and minimum of 12 months experience preferred|
